Abshar Platisza is an artist who works with both conventional and new media.

He received his Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung in 2016 with a major in printmaking. He has shown extensively in Indonesia with several awards.

With his interest in cross field of science and technology discourse, Abshar tried to elaborate it into his artistic practices and creative process. He uses technological apparatus as a medium more than a subject matter. His work talks about tension between the organic and the synthetic, technological consequences and human itself, and also questions about life through its elements.

Abshar also actively takes part in the Jakarta experimental music scene.
