Donal is a composer who primarily records, transforms, and organizes sounds. He also sings and has developed a one-man, one-hour show titled Points of Contact. His work has been featured at notable events such as Sonic Matter in Zürich, the Sonorities Festival in Belfast, the Harmonic Series at Southbank Centre, the Cork International Choral Festival, the Sound Festival in Aberdeen, and the Darmstadt International Summer Course.

Currently, he is working on an audiovisual project that incorporates footage from the Liverpool Lime Street cuttings, with plans for its premiere in late 2025.
