Finnish artist Kimmo Modig’s practice is centred around discursive methods, exploring how meaning is created and under what kind of limitations, when humans interact through and within art. He shies away from thematic or medium-based productions. During his European Media Art Residency Exchange (EMARE) in 2017, Modig developed a multimedia commission with a group of LGBTQ+ young people. The collaborative commission explored methods of self-expression adopted through digital platforms in the LGBTQ+ community.
