Enchanted Sea (2018)

Interactive game simulation.

Players are invited to explore the bottom of the Argentine Sea, where a network of jellyfish, anemones, and marine mammals coexist. In this immersive sea simulation, a pathway of stars guides you through the underwater labyrinth, prompting you to engage with different organisms and learn about the biodiversity of the Patagonia region’s deep sea. Each organism holds its unique melody, which is released when you select it, contributing to the grander song of the universe.

Laura’s work reflects her research into how human exceptionalism and extractivist economies have led to the current ecological crisis that threatens life at all levels. Enchanted Sea combines music, nature and poetic narrative in this meditative gameplay that encourages us to remember and embrace our fundamental connection to the natural world. Laura invites you to explore, dwell and reflect on the delicate symbiotic relationship of the Earth and all of its inhabitants.
