Located outside of Gallery 2 in The Bar, this series of seven colour photographs shows erasure coils - large electromagnets that are used by broadcasting companies to instantly erase the content of audio and video tapes. For Sengmüller these machines (photographed in the regional studios of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) represent a mechanical or industrial form of forgetting, which may be used by the media to control what information comes into public consciousness.
