For 2014's EMARE residency, artist and filmmaker Lauren Moffatt spent seven-weeks (1 November - 19 December 2014) with us, in which she created Periphery.
During her time with us in Liverpool, Lauren explored the city, made connections with artists and technologists. Built in virtual reality, Moffatt’s abstract film involved people she had met within Liverpool, using the city as the backdrop for the piece. The virtual reality work provided the viewer with an environment responsive to their movements, in which they have to work to piece together the parts of the story unfolding around them.
