To kick things off, the workshop will begin with a collective reading of feminist fiction writer Ursula K. Le Guin's The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction. You will then focus on designing future artefacts, inspired by the concept of the vessel, to preserve, carry, and hold. Rebeca will guide you through the design process, emphasising environmentally friendly materials and techniques.
This 90 minute session offers a unique opportunity to learn from an interdisciplinary artist whose work bridges the past and future. Suitable for artists, creative and anyone curious about the intersection of art and storytelling.
There will be a 15 minute comfort break during this workshop. Refreshments will be provided.
