Part of the Radical Ancestry season
For her new commission, Danielle has worked with a group of young people from Liverpool, self titled ‘The Bandidos’. Together, they have created a video game that shares their experiences of Liverpool and presents a new, imaginative world.
Join our Learning team to hear how the project has developed over the past year, and discuss the processes behind creating collaborative works. The team will be on hand to guide your journey through the gallery and share insights as you explore the experimental game.
The tour will begin outside Gallery 1 and will last approximately 45-60 minutes.

Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley creates artwork that archives the experiences of Black Trans people, and communities who can be otherwise underserved. In an immersive installation and new video game, Danielle opens access to worlds designed with The Bandidos, a group of young people from Liverpool.
