Part of the Radical Ancestry season

For this special event, we invite educators from across the region to come and hear about the work we do. Discussion will centre around our most recent, long-term project, in which we invited a group of young people from Liverpool to collaborate with artist Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley.

The local group, self-tilted The Bandidos, worked with Danielle to create a new video game artwork inspired by the imaginative ideas and alternative worlds they designed. The work is currently on display within a large-scale installation, which has transformed one of our galleries into a gamified suburban street. Inside, you'll find four portals to video game worlds designed by the young people and developed by Danielle. The game is also available to play remotely online - play When Our Worlds Meet (2022) here.

During this event, we invite you to explore the immersive installation as we discuss how the group’s ideas are represented within the artwork, as well as the upcoming activities surrounding the show. Plus, discover how your schools and groups can get involved with our programme and uncover all of the exciting opportunities we have to offer.
