Join us for an evening of durational performances by four cast members of Jenkin van Zyl’s film, Surrender (2023). The performances mirror the film’s themes of endurance and exhaustion and its narrative centred around a gruelling dance marathon.
Throughout the building, witness athletic gogo dancing, a Wicked Witch of the West performance, and dance with live percussion.
Please note that these performances are suitable for ages 16+ due to mild nudity and mild swearing.
In our Foyer, multidisciplinary artist Alex Margo Arden will present a Wicked Witch of the West performance, reenacting special effects from the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
Performance artist and choreographer Ted Rogers will stage an intensive and highly energetic dance performance featuring live percussion.
Step inside Jenkin van Zyl’s energy drink trophy room, where artist Finn Love will perform a long-form gogo-dancing routine.
Artist and performer Agnieszka Szczotka will perform a durational spoken word piece with a backing track, which takes the form of an endless rehearsal.
