Hosted by our Head of Programme, Maitreyi Maheshwari, join us for a one-off in-conversation with artists R.I.P. Germain and Imran Perretta.
The talk is held on the closing weekend of R.I.P. Germain’s exhibition at FACT, "After GOD, Dudus Comes Next!” — an immersive installation exploring the concept of ‘false fronts’ and the complex overlaps between alternative currencies, gate-kept spaces, and odd logics that structure hidden worlds.
Imran Perretta is a multidisciplinary artist who works across moving-image, sound, performance, and poetry. Through his practice, Perretta addresses biopower, marginality, and the (de)construction of cultural histories.
Together, we'll explore their individual practices and influences, as well as the overlapping themes in their work, with both interested in power structures and identity, and how these impact the way we interact with and navigate the world.
