In response to our latest exhibition, LuYang Arcade Liverpool (28 Apr - 17 Sep) we’re delighted to be joined by Dr Pao-chen Tang for an online reading group!
The online session will centre around Solitude in Pixels: Lu Yang's Digital Figuration of Corporeality, a text by Dr Tang, with conversion surrounding elements of LuYang’s practice - including the digital figure, DOKU.
Upon registering for the event, you'll be sent a copy of the text to familiarise yourself with before the session. We also encourage you to check out works from LuYang's DOKU series. Useful resources can be found below:

About Dr Pao-chen Tang
Dr Tang received a joint PhD degree in Cinema and Media Studies as well as East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago. His work focuses on the intersection between film aesthetics and ecopolitics, and he has written extensively on questions of the nonhuman in relation to ethics and filmmaking.
