For our first Studio/Lab Masterclass, we’re delighted to welcome artist Jenkin van Zyl. Jenkin is a multi-disciplinary artist based in London who makes hallucinant, narrative installations, typically centred on film. Invited because of his unique approach to creating atmospheres both on film and in the gallery, in this masterclass Jenkin will lead us through the hands-on making of his film projects and installations.

This presentation and chance to ask questions gives attendees an insight into the research, world-building and politics that inform his work.

There will be two opportunities to attend this Masterclass. The first event will take place at 14:30, with the second beginning at 18:30. Tickets cost £5 or £7.50 including a drink.

Jenkin's exhibition Surrender (2023) is free to visit at FACT from Friday 20 October 2023 - Sunday 28 January 2024.
