ABOUT W4 FILMS
A London based film production company that makes the films you love to watch. Producing award-winning independent feature films of a wide range of genres from comedies to thrillers. W4 Films has partnered with BRACE Dementia Research on the film Grey Matter to raise awareness and donations to fund their groundbreaking research into dementia.
ABOUT BRACE DEMENTIA RESEARCH
BRACE funds small scale pilot projects looking at new and promising ways of understanding and tackling dementia. The charity has funded almost 40 PhDs, ensuring there will always be highly qualified dementia researchers. BRACE is a small charity committed to planting the acorns, so big trees can grow. Recent breakthroughs include the development of an early Alzheimer’s test, Fastball, which has gathered national and international attention for being the ‘first of its kind.’ The breakthrough was only possible thanks to BRACE funding the small-scale project. The test is now being investigated for possible use by the NHS. There are currently more than 250,000 without a dementia diagnosis in England alone. Fastball hopes to change this.
