On Fri 20 Sep, thousands across the world will walk out of their workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels.

To show our support, our employees and volunteers will be holding a Day of Action on Friday. Our galleries will be closed for the day, giving our staff the chance to get involved and show their support as well as encouraging visitors to stop and think about global climate change. We’ll also be heading down to the Global Climate Strike march at 13:00, at St George’s Hall.

We will be holding a series of workshops and activities throughout the day, to think about our impact and responsibilities and plan for our future. Visitors are welcome to take part in our Learning Space by creating banners for the Global Climate Strike march between 10:00 and 12:00.

Please note that both the cafe and Picturehouse will be open as usual.
